April 20, 2026 — We will host the “Staten Island Social,” a new fundraising event on Saturday, May 2 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm with all proceeds benefiting our new exhibit “Explore Staten Island,” which is set to open in October of 2026.
Families are invited to come together for an evening of fun and community in support of our newest exhibit, “Explore Staten Island.” A beer tasting and brews from Kills Boro Brewery, cocktails from The Coupe and a buffet from Dinosaur Bar-B-Que will all be provided. Funds raised will help bring “Explore Staten Island” to life – an immersive, hands-on exhibit where visitors can explore the borough’s rich ecosystems, culture, and community through play.
“This fundraiser is more than just an event, it’s an opportunity for families to come together and help bring a meaningful new exhibit to life.” said board member Ula McCrindle.“Every ticket purchased and every moment shared directly supports a space where children can learn, explore, and create lasting memories.”
“We’re truly fortunate to be surrounded by such vibrant local resources—from the Children’s Museum to the local sponsors to the amazing restaurants and bars that help bring events like this to life. It’s a joy to share this experience with all of you, and we hope you enjoy everything our community has to offer.” added board member, Kate Satin.
Through the Staten Island Foundation’s Diamond Match Program, every net dollar raised will be tripled, making each ticket purchase even more impactful.
Tickets are $35 for kids and $125 for adults with combo packages available including a VIP package offering special recognition on the Exhibit Honor Roll.
Tickets to the event can be purchased at: https://sichildrensmuseum.org/staten-island-social-2026/
