June 25, 2026 — We are a premier destination for families all summer long, with hands-on exhibits and dynamic programming. During the month of July, we will offer a free admission day where families can gain information on Pre-K enrollment and other resources, an opportunity for kids to decorate a beehive and learn about bees from a professional beekeeper, and two soccer activities for kids that coincide with the World Cup.
Free Admission Programs We are participants in the Bank of America Museums on Us Program. On Sunday July 5, Bank of America cardholders receive one free general admission by presenting a valid debit or credit card and a government issued photo ID. On Saturday, July 18, twe will offer a Pre-K Resource Free Admission day with on-line pre-registration. We also offer free admission to individuals with Cool Culture and SNAP EBT cards as well as active-duty military families.
Everyday there is something to create in the Walk-In! Workshop. Throughout July, kids create an original postage stamp design using cardstock, pencils, markers and crayons to celebrate America’s 250 anniversary. Wed-Sun 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Our popular Boogie Woogie Wednesday series returns every Wednesday from 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm with an exciting lineup of performers to get kids moving. The series ends on September 2.
Wednesday, July 1st, its Happy Feet Flow featuring dance games, yoga activities, and interactive movement experiences. This program encourages creativity, builds confidence, and keeps young bodies active while having fun.
Experience the sounds of the islands with Caribbean Vibe Steel Drum Band on Wednesday, July 8. Featuring colorful steel pans and infectious rhythms, these performers invite children to experience how music can tell stories, express tradition, and bring communities together. Kids will learn how steel drums are made, hear different musical styles from across the Caribbean, and discover how rhythm and teamwork create exciting performances. Age range: 3-9.
Get ready to move and dance on Wednesday, July 15 with Zumba Kids! This high-energy class features kid-friendly routines inspired by original Zumba choreography, with easy-to-follow steps and interactive games.
Join The Ensemble Barynya for a musical journey filled with lively music, colorful costumes, and traditional Russian dances on Wednesday, July 22. Each performance tells a unique story through song and movement while introducing audiences to a variety of musical instruments.
Explore the history and culture of Mexican folk dance with the Calpulli Mexican Dance Company on Wednesday, July 29. Led by a dedicated teaching artist, participants will learn traditional Mexican dance movements while exploring history behind each style.
On Summer Thursdays from 4:00 pm – 4:45 pm, we will offer interactive science experiments about bubbles, air, batteries, ballons and more! Space is limited; participants are encouraged to reserve your spot at the front desk upon arrival.

We are pleased to welcome back Literacy, Inc. (LINC) on Wednesday, July 8 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm for an interactive experience of movement, singing and reading with a focus on empathy, appreciation and a sense of belonging.
On Saturday, July 11 join a professional beekeeper on Beehive Opening Day where children will have the opportunity to explore an educational hive up close, discover authentic beekeeper tools, try on kid-friendly beekeeper gear, help decorate a beehive during a hands-on art activity, and take part in a special “Ask a Beekeeper” Q&A session. Guests will also enjoy a guided honey-tasting featuring delicious samples to try.
We are pleased to offer a special Free Admission Day with pre-registration on Saturday, July 18. From 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, families are invited to attend an Early Childhood Resource Fair co-hosted by the Staten Island Alliance for North Shore Children and Families. Community organizations from across Staten Island will be on-site sharing valuable information, resources, and giveaways related to education, healthcare, dental services, food assistance, and emotional support programs for young children and families. Children can also take part in hands-on activity tables throughout the day and enjoy an Introduction to Soccer event hosted by NeverStopMoving 365 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm where participants will be exposed to the fundamentals of soccer through engaging movement-based activities and skill challenges . Get ready for Soccer Stars Clinic designed for children of all skill levels! Coinciding with the World Cup final, this engaging clinic on Sunday, July 19 from 11:00 am – 11:45 am introduces young players to the fundamentals of soccer through age-appropriate games, movement activities, and teamwork-based skill building. Families can also look forward to special giveaway opportunities throughout the event to keep the fun going both on and off the field.
ShopRite Kidz Cook invites caregivers and children to discover the joy of cooking together on Saturday, July 25 where participants will prepare Color Changing Lemonade. Sessions are held at 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. Space is limited and tickets are available at the door. Age range: 4 and up.
Get moving at our monthly program, Museum Movers & Shakers on Saturday, July 26 through a variety of interactive workshops starting at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm. Designed for children of all ages, participants will explore movement activities from dance games to beginner-friendly yoga.
The final workshop is a special Music Video Mania! session from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, where participants will learn choreography inspired by trending dances and then take what they learned to the stage. This workshop introduces the basics of video production, including lighting and sound design, camera angles, and creative direction, offering a hands-on look at performance and media creation.
