March 31, 2026 – The Staten Island Children’s Museum has announced our upcoming Summer 2026 Camp schedule and rates. We will offer ten themed camp options for ages 4-8 with an engaging hands-on environment that combines play with learning. Registration is now open at the museum’s website for camps running from June 29 – September 4.
Hands-On Learning & Exploration
Ours camp programs such as STEAM, Cooking and Superheroes offer unique opportunities for campers to explore art, nature, science and diverse foods through weekly themed immersive experiences. Led by experienced museum educators, campers will engage in activities such as:
- Visual & Performance Arts: Campers explore a variety of artistic mediums while expressing themselves through hands-on art projects, dance, and music activities.
- STEAM Projects: Through interactive experiments and creative problem-solving, campers discover scientific concepts in fun and meaningful ways.
- Exhibit Adventures: Campers enjoy exclusive daily access to exhibits—closed to the public—allowing for an immersive, crowd-free experience.
- Outdoor Play: From meadow games and water play to nature walks across the beautiful grounds of Snug Harbor, campers stay active while connecting with the outdoors.
“Our team has been hard at work refreshing favorite theme weeks like Carnival and STEAM with new activities, updated games, and more time for outdoor exploration,” said Education Director, Jami Kilichowski. “With exclusive access to our museum exhibits, plus weekly live performances and trips to Egger’s Ice Cream, campers will enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience that makes our camp so unique. We’ve also listened closely to our families—this year we’re offering extended day options in both the morning and evening, along with a half-day option for our youngest campers ages 4–5. We can’t wait to welcome children ages 4–8 for a fun and enriching summer.”
