Juneteenth is a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the Confederate states. It celebrates the day that news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached the farthermost edges of the Union at the time.
In honor of Juneteenth, we are offering free admission with registration. You can register here. Also, we will be creating art inspired by the Black National Flag which acts as a symbol for Black pride and brings awareness of the importance of understanding the hardships and perseverance of Black citizens in the country’s past and present.
There are workshops every 30 minutes with limited capacity, please be sure to pick up your tickets at the desk when you arrive.
